The Punjab Enforcement & Regulatory Authority (PERA), established under the Punjab Enforcement & Regulation Act. 2024, is seeking qualified and dynamic individuals for 500 vacancies for the role of Sergeant Driver (BS-07). This is an excellent opportunity for Punjab-domiciled candidates to contribute to regulatory enforcement across the province. Successful applicants will play a crucial role in ensuring effective vehicle operations for the authority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate official motor vehicles, including Motorcars, Jeeps, or LTVs, as directed by the authority.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all traffic laws, organizational policies, and safety protocols during vehicle operation.
  • Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on vehicles, promptly reporting any issues or repair needs.
  • Maintain high standards of physical fitness in accordance with the department’s requirements.

Required Skills

  • Proven proficiency in driving Motorcars, Jeeps, and Light Transport Vehicles (LTV).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.
  • Ability to maintain physical stamina and adhere to stringent physical standards.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and commitment to duty.
  • Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics and emergency roadside procedures.

Qualifications

  • Education: Candidates must hold an Intermediate (12th Grade) certificate from a recognized Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.
  • Driving License: Possession of a valid Driving License for Motorcar/Jeep or LTV is mandatory.
  • Physical Standards (Male): BMI 27 or below, minimum height of 173 cm (without shoes), ability to complete one mile running in 7 minutes, and chest measurement of 32” (non-expanded) with a minimum 2” expansion to 34”.
  • Physical Standards (Female): BMI 27 or below, minimum height of 162 cm (without shoes), and ability to complete one mile running in 11 minutes.
  • Eyesight: 6/6 vision with or without glasses. Individuals with color blindness are ineligible.
  • Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 26 years of age.
  • Domicile: Only applicants holding a valid domicile certificate from any district in Punjab are eligible to apply.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant professional driving experience is highly preferred.
