Research Associate & Research Assistant at National Aerospace Science & Technology Park (NASTP)

The National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP), under the Ministry of Defence (MOD) Pakistan, is inviting applications for Research Associate and Research Assistant positions. These roles are part of the innovative GreenAI project, focused on developing ICT and Artificial Intelligence (AI) based Precision Agriculture Systems using advanced dual-use Aerospace Technologies. Successful candidates will contribute to high-tech projects aimed at revolutionizing smart agriculture in Pakistan, situated at NASTP facilities in Rawalpindi/Islamabad.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development activities in ICT and Artificial Intelligence, specifically for Precision Agriculture Systems.
• Work on high-tech projects utilizing aerospace technologies for smart agriculture solutions.
• Collaborate with scientific and technical teams to implement project objectives.
• Support the development and integration of software, HPC, networks, and cloud computing solutions.

Required Skills

• Strong technical and research skills in software development.
• Proficiency in High-Performance Computing (HPC) and networking.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms and technologies.
• Demonstrated ability in research and project management.

Qualifications

• For Research Associate (PPS-5): Postgraduate or MS degree in a relevant field of research. PhD scholars will be given preference.
• For Research Assistant (PPS-4): Graduate degree (BS/MS or equivalent) in a relevant field of research. MS/MPhil scholars will be preferred.
• Relevant practical experience in the specified domains is essential.
