Wildlife Watcher (BPS-07) - Wildlife Department KPK, Bannu

The Wildlife Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) is currently seeking applications for the dedicated position of Wildlife Watcher (BPS-07) for its division located in Bannu. This contract-based role offers an excellent opportunity for committed individuals to contribute significantly to wildlife conservation and protection efforts in the region, with potential for contract extension based on satisfactory performance and continued need.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol designated wildlife areas to monitor animal populations, habitats, and environmental conditions.
• Enforce wildlife protection laws and regulations, preventing illegal activities such as poaching, unauthorized hunting, and habitat destruction.
• Investigate and report incidents of wildlife-related crime and environmental infringements.
• Assist in wildlife management programs, including surveys, data collection, and conservation initiatives.
• Engage with local communities to raise awareness about wildlife conservation and promote sustainable practices.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in monitoring and observational tasks, ideally within a wildlife or security context.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in challenging outdoor and remote environments.
• Basic supervisory skills to guide and direct junior staff or community volunteers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
• Commitment to wildlife conservation and environmental protection.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold an Intermediate qualification (F.A./F.Sc. or equivalent) from a board recognized by the government.
• A minimum of 1 to 2 years of professional experience in a relevant field, such as wildlife management, forestry, or security services, is required.
• Applicants must meet specific physical standards: a minimum height of 5 feet 6 inches and a chest measurement of 34 to 36 inches.
• The age limit for this position is between 18 and 30 years.
• Applicants must possess a valid Lakki Marwat domicile.
