Deputy Director (Data Center Facility Engineer) - NADRA Islamabad

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) invites applications for the crucial role of Deputy Director (Data Center Facility Engineer) at its Headquarters in Islamabad. This position is central to ensuring the efficient operation and robust infrastructure of NADRA's data centers. Initially offered on a one-year contract, this role has the potential for extension based on performance and organizational needs, complemented by a competitive salary package.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and facility management of NADRA's critical data centers.
• Ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and security of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, environmental control, and network systems.
• Develop, implement, and enforce operational procedures and best practices for comprehensive data center management.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff, providing expert guidance and fostering professional development.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute capacity upgrades, infrastructure projects, and technology enhancements for data center facilities.
• Establish and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard critical data center functions and operations.

Required Skills

• Profound expertise in data center infrastructure management (DCIM) and operations.
• Strong technical proficiency in electrical and electronic engineering principles, particularly as applied to data center environments.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with proven experience in team management and supervision.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and administrative skills for effective collaboration.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent relevant discipline from a nationally or internationally recognized university. A Master's degree in a related field will be considered a strong advantage.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive and relevant professional experience in data center facility engineering, operations, or a similar capacity.
• Applicants should be a maximum of 44 years of age at the time of application.
