The Government of Sindh, through its Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department, is actively seeking applications from eligible candidates across Sindh Province for numerous vacancies within its Narcotics Control Wing. Key Responsibilities

• Performing duties as Narcotics Inspector, Assistant Narcotics Control Inspector, Junior Scale Stenographer, Computer Operator, or Junior Clerk.
• Engaging in enforcement activities related to narcotics control and tax regulations.
• Providing essential administrative support, including data entry, record management, and office operations.
• Handling stenography tasks, including shorthand and typing, for official documentation.
• Operating computer systems for data processing and general office automation.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in English shorthand and typing (Stenographer: 120 w.p.m shorthand, 35 w.p.m typing).
• Strong command of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Competency in computer operations and basic IT principles.
• Ability to meet physical fitness standards for relevant enforcement roles.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a domicile of Sindh Province and meet the following criteria:

• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree (at least 2nd Division) from a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized university for most posts. A Diploma in IT or Computer Science is required for Computer Operator roles.
• Certifications: 6 months English shorthand & typing certificate and MS Office certificate from a recognized institute for relevant positions.
• Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 28 years of age.
• Physical Standards (for relevant posts):
  • Male: Height 5’5”, Chest 33” with an expansion of 1.5”, ability to run 1 mile in 8 minutes.
  • Female: Height 5’2”, ability to walk 800 meters in 14 minutes.
• Selection Procedure: Candidates are required to pass a General Screening Test (Graduation Category) conducted by Sukkur IBA Testing Services (STS) with a minimum of 40% marks. Shortlisted candidates will then proceed to a physical test and interview.
