Description

The Bureau of Statistics, operating under the Planning and Development Board, Government of Punjab, invites applications for Tehsil Monitors. This is a temporary monitoring role crucial for the comprehensive Door-to-Door Socio-Economic Survey of Punjab (PSER, 2026), targeting qualified and dedicated individuals for approximately 180 working days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the recruitment and training of survey staff within designated tehsils.
  • Conduct field monitoring and supervision of data collection activities for the PSER, 2026 survey.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely collection of socio-economic data using IT equipment and tablets.
  • Coordinate with local teams to ensure smooth survey operations across various divisions of Punjab.
  • Report progress and challenges to senior management, contributing to the successful completion of the survey.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in using IT equipment, including computers and tablets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a field-based environment.
  • Prior experience in tablet-based surveys is highly preferred.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a 2nd Class Master's (MA/MSc) or Bachelor's (BS/BS Hons.) degree, or equivalent 16 years of education in any subject.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with degrees in Statistics, Economics, Sociology, Social Work, or Gender Studies.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in fieldwork or data monitoring roles.
