The Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Company (PGJDC) is actively seeking dedicated and experienced professionals for various contract-based positions in Karachi. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to contribute to a key development initiative within the gems and jewellery sector, with roles ranging from leadership and engineering to administrative and support functions. Positions are available on an initial three-year contract, with potential for extension based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Director (PPS-12): Oversee the strategic planning, execution, and successful completion of projects, ensuring adherence to objectives and timelines.
  • Resident Engineers (PPS-9): Manage on-site engineering operations, supervise construction, and ensure quality control and technical compliance.
  • Quantity Surveyors (PPS-8): Conduct detailed cost analysis, prepare budget estimates, and manage all aspects of project finances and contracts.
  • Procurement Officer (PPS-7): Handle the acquisition of goods and services, manage vendor relationships, and ensure efficient procurement processes.
  • Driver (PPS-5): Provide reliable transportation services, ensuring safety and timely movement for staff and materials.
  • Office Boy (PPS-5): Offer general administrative support, including handling errands, managing office supplies, and assisting with daily operations.

Required Skills

  • Strong management and leadership capabilities for senior roles.
  • Proficiency in administration and operational support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess relevant educational qualifications ranging from Middle school certificates to Bachelor's or Master's degrees, depending on the position. A minimum of 2 to 20 years of pertinent professional experience in a reputable local or multinational organization is required for the respective roles. Specific experience in project management, engineering, surveying, procurement, or administrative support is highly valued.
