The Punjab Prison Department is currently inviting applications from eligible and dedicated individuals for various positions within its Jail Police and support staff across multiple districts in Punjab. Key Responsibilities

• Warder (Male) / Lady Warder (BPS-07): Ensuring security, maintaining discipline, supervising inmates, and upholding departmental rules within the correctional facilities.
• Motor Driver (BPS-05): Safe operation and maintenance of departmental vehicles, including transportation of personnel and goods.
• Electrician (BPS-05): Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
• Washerman (BPS-05): Laundry services for staff and inmates as per established procedures.
• Mason (BPS-05): Construction, repair, and maintenance of masonry structures.
• Plumber (BPS-04): Installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
• Flower Mali (BPS-01): Horticulture and maintenance of green spaces within prison premises.
• Naib Qasid (BPS-01): General office support, including delivery of documents and other assigned tasks.
• Sanitary Worker (BPS-01): Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the prison facilities.

Required Skills

• Demonstrated physical fitness and endurance for uniform service roles.
• Proficiency in driving for motor driver positions.
• Specialized trade skills pertinent to electrician, mason, plumber, and washerman roles.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Matriculation (Matric) or Middle school qualification from a recognized educational board. Specific physical standards are mandatory for Warder positions, including minimum height requirements (Male: 173 cm, Female: 158 cm), chest measurements (Male: 85cm unexpanded, 90cm expanded), 6/6 eyesight without glasses, and completion of a running test (Male: 1.6km in 7 minutes, Female: 1.6km in 10 minutes). Relevant experience of 1 to 2 years is preferred for various roles.
